Manbulloo takes delivery of its first fumigation chamber
One Wednesday 15th September 2010 Manbulloo Katherine took delivery of its brand new Nordiko Fumigation and Recapture unit. The unit has been purchased to allow fumigation of mangoes to meet the ICA-04 protocol which is required for shipments of Northern Territory mangoes to enter Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania.
The introduction of the fumigation unit now means that both Fenthion and Dimethoate chemicals which had previously been used to control fruit fly are no longer being used it the packshed. More importantly, it means that there is no risk of MRL failure on shipments heading for Europe where the MRL for these two chemicals is 0.01 and 0.02 kg/l.
